Went to Nottingham Castle today(well it’s not actually a castle anymore) then to William Booths birth house.
Nottingham Castle was disappointing because it’s now just a huge mansion house that was built by one of the kings in the 19th Century. The castle was knocked down and ruined. The good bit about the “castle” was that it still had underground tunnels which we did a tour of.

Pete and I went to William Booths birth place which was pretty interesting, we really enjoyed this tour as we were allowed to roam the museum house and take our time exploring.

On the way home we had dinner at the Salt Cellar (a pub near us) – you get two meals for the price of one. Pete had Yorkshire pudding with sausage and Mash and Di had Steak and Ale pie with mash… yummm!!!!!!
Because we ate so much we went for a really long walk along the canal near us – and through the fields… really nice and relaxing.
