Today Di and I got to travel around parts of the Peak District. We watched the Grimethorpe band tonight play at Gawsworth Hall.
Grimethorpe are the backing band for “Brassed off”…so they were excellent. Roger Webster (the best cornet player in the world, apart from David Dawes) had just transferred to Grimethorpe so we got to hear him play. We went with Aunty Chris, Uncle Paul, and Aunty Chris’ cousin and friends. We had a great time. Once again lots of laughs.
Pete and I stayed for the night in a little hotel with a great view in the Peak District so that we can do some more exploring tomorrow, yay!!!!
Our little car is really getting us about.
